About Our Practice and Services

What makes Expressive Minds Therapy unique?

We are a specialized joint private practice offering integrated care by combining the expertise of a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). This unique collaboration enables us to address the "whole person" by treating both emotional and mental health needs, as well as communication and expressive concerns.

What age range do you work with?

While we specialize in serving children through early adulthood, we are equipped to offer therapeutic services across the entire lifespan of a person. We believe everyone deserves clarity in their expression and emotional life.

What types of mental health concerns do your LCSWs treat?

Our mental health services, provided by a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, offer support for a range of emotional and mental health needs, including but not limited to stress management, depression, ADHD, anxiety, and trauma.

What kind of speech and language services do you offer?

Our Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) provides targeted therapy for various communication needs, such as speech clarity, language processing, voice disorders, and effective self-expression.

Do I need to utilize both services?

No. Clients can seek treatment from either our LCSW for mental health support or our SLP for communication care. However, for clients whose emotional or mental health is impacted by their communication, or vice versa, we offer a collaborative, integrated approach to achieve synergistic results.

How do I know which clinician to start with?

We recommend scheduling a brief initial consultation with the practice to discuss your primary concerns. We can then recommend the most appropriate clinician (LCSW or SLP) to begin your journey and discuss if a combined approach would be beneficial.
